Coonskin Park was created over 50 years ago by a dedicated group of Kanawha County citizens. It includes over 1000 acres of woodland nature and is one of the city’s most accessible and beloved public parks. A proposed airport expansion is threatening to destroy approximately 400 acres of the park.
