We’ve teamed up with the Kanawha Charleston Humane Association to help raise funds to help with their current situation. (More about that below!) And even if you aren’t local to this area, you can still show your love and support for critters everywhere!)
A few weeks ago, a U-Haul drove into the shelter causing severe damage to the building that housed most of the shelter dogs. Only one dog was injured, but temporary foster homes had to be found for over 150 dogs. And now space for incoming strays is very limited. The damage is worse than initially thought and the repair timeline and costs are still unknown. The shelter is also in need of supplies and food to provide to fosters, along with crates to transport incoming dogs to foster homes. So, needless to say, they could use some financial support!
There’s a whole lot going on in the world right now and sometimes it feels so overwhelming that it’s easy to feel like you don’t even know where to begin to help. This is a thing we’re actually able to help with, so we want to do our best to raise as much money as we can for these sweet pups who deserve all the love and care and treats!
